ALWAYS
“Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong even if everyone is for it.”  - William Penn
William Penn’s quote states that when everyone thinks that one thing is right, it sometimes isn't. As when one decides to do something wrong and most agree, it doesn't mean that it's the right thing to do. Many may go based on their “gut”, which is what is said to be your conscience. Well your “gut” is always going to try to put you in the better place, all you have to do is follow and listen to it. Once you feel that what you’re doing is wrong it is best try and stop. No matter how much a person or people make fun of you for choosing and making better decisions, always stick to them. They don't know any better, and it's best not to tell them anything. You can just not say anything to try to make them feel less of a person, because you're not going to look or feel any better with what you said.Just try and make sure you choose the better path, because it will all work out for YOU in the future.

A Good Name

“A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life.” -Mike Krzyzewski(Coach K)

When one’s reputation matters more than their actions, one must know how others see them. As Coach K quotes, having a good name is the BEST thing to have throughout your life. With a good name, people can see you in many positive ways. If you have the completely opposite reputation, many won’t or be comfortable around you. Making the right decisions helps you achieve this, as you chose to do the right things. This as always will help you grow as a better person, but it's easier said than done honestly. It’s best to think before you do something, to check if it benefits anyone else but yourself. Plus, some good deeds make you feel good. To choose the best and right things is to help boost your reputation as a better person. I know I know, your reputation shouldn't mean your life. But then again your actions are what build it, so you shouldn’t really worry unless you know some of your actions are wrong. Many people make mistakes sometimes, but it doesn't always make them smaller of a person. So it's best to try and do what’s right in order to be seen as a better person.

 Right
“ If your so-called friends urge you to do anything wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow.”   - Thomas S. Monson
Those who are truly your friends should understand you.If you have a friend that always makes fun of you when you don't do something “cool”, then they're really not your friend. I don't like to judge one by what they believe, because I know that’s not what I want for someone to do to me. It wouldn’t be right at all, so it's best to try to be good. Many things can bring you down if you let them, but you should always stand by what you believe in. No matter how weird and bad it seems, you will do something better than those around you. Be the better person, just don't make the same mistakes as others.

A CTR Champion
“ A CTR champion is a person who makes a great human out of                   himself.”   - Noemi Trigueros

A CTR person always and tries to choose the right, as it helps them become a better person. Noemi states that being a CTR person would help the person grow. This class teaches us how to choose the right throughout our daily lives. Noemi is also correct on that statement, because choosing the right gives us a better thinking of making decisions throughout the day. Mr. Haymore also shows how he chooses the right to be a CTR person. It is best to try and make the better decisions in life. This helps you grow as a person, allowing others to take notice of this. Making the better decisions would also benefit others around you. You show that you are a responsible person, allowing others to trust you. Only good can come from being a CTR person, and I will try my best in being a CTR person.

“Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get”

                             -Mark Victor Hansen

Mark Victor Hansen is stating that when you set a goal, you go for it. As you would not set one if you don't even try to accomplish it. So after you set on a goal, you do your best to complete it. This is close to the Life Planning journals we’re creating for this month. As each day we write down a new goal, but also state how we are going to try to be victorious. This started this month of October, I have set 2 goals. I am to go get these goals, as well as accomplish them all. It may take some time, but you will eventually make your goals. As you’re set, now it's time to go out!  You will only be able to accomplish your goals if you stick and set to finishing them.
Columbus Day

Christopher Columbus was an explorer and navigator. He was born in 1451 in the Republic of Genoa, Italy. His first journey to the Atlantic Ocean in the year 1476 nearly killed him. In total, Christopher Columbus had made four trips across the Atlantic Ocean from Spain. These trips occurred in the years; 1492, 1493, 1498 , and 1502.  Determined to find a water route west from Europe and Asia, he found the Americas. It is said that he didn’t really “discover” the New World, because there were already many inhabitants in that area. Although he has been credited to opening up the Americas to European colonization.
I never truly understood the concept of Columbus Day, honestly. But now that I have researched this holiday, it is only to commemorate. The day he landed in the “New World”, although it is unofficially celebrated in many states. This happened as early as the 18th century, which had surprised me. I do not celebrate this holiday, frankly I may not really see the purpose to. Yes, it may commemorate his landing, But many people have done other things that may even be worth more than this. “ Yay, he landed into the New World. There seem to be inhabitants there!” I may not seem to show respect for this holiday, and I apologize for that. This holiday began to be a federal holiday in 1937, which still amazes me from telling that it was celebrated before. I seem to only remember that Columbus Day was when there was no school that day, it was always an observed day. It all makes sense, as a federal holiday it commemorates an event that was different. As landing into the New World, Christopher Columbus had opened up the Americas to any European colonization.

Obedience

"When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation; instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block."

                                          - James E. Faust
When it comes to one's goal, it all may just pertain to you and obedience. As one must complete their goals but it always seems to "coincidentally" fall with obedience. It's not a coincidence at all, because the goals you have for the future involve it. If you want to become a better person as you grow, then you would have to obey the rules of your parents. This allows you to fully understand the concept of growing. As James E. Faust stated, when you have a goal of obedience then it will do nothing but allow you to grow. So it is best to allow yourself to build as a person . Seeing that it will not fail, but help you in the near future. I can relate to this quote, as it allowed me to understand the purpose of many things.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I would not like to be a podiatrist, for the reason i would not like to work with one’s feet. It may interest me, but not to the point where I would go to college and have a license to practice. Many things disgust me, like touching someone’s feet besides my very own. I would not like to attend school in order to practice this career, as i would like to work with children in the future.
