Chiropractor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Chiropractors care for patients with health problems involving the nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Best know as the neuromusculoskeletal system, the patient is also treated on any physical issues involving the spine. As they may adjust your spine or use manipulation. But first they must assess the patient’s medical condition  by referring to their medical history, having a physical exam, or by listening to the patient and his/ or her concerns involving the matter. They also analyze the patient’s reflexes, posture, and spine. Chiropractors also may advise their patients on health and their lifestyle issues involving exercise and sleeping habits.
Salary: $64,440
Education:
To become a chiropractor in practice you must:
  • Doctor of Chiropractic Degree(D.C)-4 years to complete
  • 90 semester hours of undergraduate education(liberal arts, science,biology,physics, and chemistry)
  • Licensed certification- varies by state of practice
Demand for this profession:
The employment of Chiropractors is estimated to grow by 17% from the years 2014-2024. This is faster than the most occupations, as people are becoming more interested.
Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not?
I would like to be a Chiropractor, as i find this profession to be very interesting. Also what makes it more interesting is that you can also practice in pediatric offices. As I love working with children and I have before. Especially seeing how interesting the neuromusculoskeletal system seems to be. It would seem as though it may be a career I would like to have in the future.
